romanoutlaw06 asked: My wife and I just bought bowling shoes so we don’t have to rent any more. How do you break in the soles? They appear to be leather if that makes a difference.

Take a walk in them. They’re just like every other pair of shoes when it comes to fit. Just walk around in the bowling alley or something.

Try some of the powder bags (not talcum) that the pro shops sell. Rub the bag onto your sole and wipe off.
When you are at the settee area (behind the seats by the approach), keep sliding your sole on a piece of floor where it’s dry, but not the carpet because you’ll attract static. That will definitely get your sole conditioned for use on the approach.
